Tournament Rules for Texas Hold'Em
- The tournament will consist of 2 rounds. The first round will consist of six sessions. Four sessions Saturday November 8th, 2008, and one session Sunday November 9th, 2008. Entrants will be assigned to one of the six sessions with all entrants randomly seated at evenly spread tables. During the first round participants at each table will deal. The second round will consist of the fourteen finalists from each of the five rounds, 6 raffle winners, 1 Paintball winner, 1 Auction winner and last years champion. Players will deal this round also until the field is narrowed to sixteen players at which time dealers will be provided.
- Seat one will be the first dealer and the deal will move clockwise around the table.
- If the person who is to be the next dealer goes out the person to his left will deal and be the small blind. On the following hand the same person will deal a second time and the blinds will move and the deal will be back in line.
- The player directly left of the dealer is the small blind and the person directly left of the small blind is the big blind
- As the tables are evened a player to the right of the dealer will be moved and inserted to the right of the dealer at his new table.
- A player may take a break at any time however if the break over laps their turn as the big or small blind they must satisfy the blind and then fold.
- If the dealer accidentally flips over a card pre-flop, the exposed card will become the first burn card.
- When a hand is complete all players cards will remain face down unless he chooses to show them. Anyone turning up other player’s cards will be disqualified.
- Burn cards will be kept separate from all other cards until the hand is over.
- Flop, Turn and River cards shall be placed separately on the table and not overlapped.
- No betting or folding out of turn.
- No string betting. If betting, a person must state the amount of their bet, or count the chips directly in front of them. Once a bet is placed, a person cannot reach back into their stack to add more chips to the bet.
- Cards must be kept on the table at all times.
- The minimum bet must be equal to or greater than the big blind.
- Any re-raise must be equal to or greater than the original raise.
- Blinds will be raised every 20 min as shown below after the first half hour. The blinds listed are based on 152 players per session. If a session is not full the blinds may be decreased starting at 2 hours and 30 minutes to allow for the number of chips in play.
- Antes will be added after the first hour.

- These rounds are designed to be lightning rounds with quick play to determine the fourteen that will advance.
- Entrants will be given $1750.00 in chips to start each round.
- There will be no conversation between spectators and players while a hand is being played.
- Spectators must stand back at least five feet from the table they are watching.
- Spectators may not run between tables reporting on the progress at other tables.
- If a player feels another player at the table is taking to much time a clock can be called for. At that point the player taking the time will have 60 seconds to decide what they are going to do. If no decision is made in 60 seconds the hand will be folded.
- There will be no alcoholic beverages consumed by participants.
- There will be no smoking in the hall.
- No one under the age of 18 will be permitted to play.
